The Nature and Meaning of Our Moment, 7/24/2020
On July 24, 2020, we resumed the Movements of Movements conversations begun with the two volumes that constitute the series. The discussion took the uprisings in the United States as a point of departure but, with its international panel of speakers, it focused more generally on the status of our movements. See "What is the Nature, and Meaning, of Our Moment" for the speaker biographies.
Several speakers shared papers in advance of their presentations:
Lawrence Cox considered the status and frameworks of our dialogues and media to understand the part they play in increasing our capacity to learn from each other... and to win.
Matt Meyer surveys the current rebellion and asks difficult questions about its structure and potential.
We will be updating this page to share written versions of the talks from 7/24 and also links to follow up posts from our OpenSpace section.
